PowerWalker NMC card misidentified as Eaton

    Description

      Changes in r12393 resulted in following regression:

      PowerWalker UPS with PowerWalker NMC Card is identified incorrectly as Eaton hardware:

      In our case the NMC Card is connected to PowerWalker VFI 10000 TCP 3/1 BI -model, but the card can be connected to any of the PowerWalker VI RT, VFI RT, VFI T, VFI PRT, VFI TCP, VFI TP 3/1 models.

            Ok, firmware version seems as appropriate.

            If it helps identifying between PowerWalker products and Eaton-relabeled products I found that:

            • Eaton ships only with 3.0.x.x firmware and has not provided firmware upgrades for several years
            • PowerWalker uses firmware 3.1.x.x and has provided updates more recently

            At this point, any firmware version 3.1.x.x can not be Eaton UPS.

            In any case, management card brand is PowerWalker and manufacturer is BlueWalker GmbH

            I could not find snmpwalk dumps for this card when it is connected to Eaton branded UPS for detailed comparison, but I would personally prefer to keep the reported vendor the same as the original MIB file provider.
