    Description

      Hello Observium Devs,

I'd like your assistance to maintain some patches for Observium to query and graph numerous metrics available over SNMP and it's Python API.

Happy to supply code and examples, dumps and an nice logo pic.

(And yes: planning to put a subscription shortly for my role here at SkyMesh Pty Ltd.)

      Terry

Here's my 1st attempt at getting the discovery and polling under way – I'm happy with that part of the work. My graphs are not near working, so seeking assistance there: I would love to see a working set up just for 'channelInternalRxBytes', 'channelExternalRxBytes', 'channelInternalTxBytes', 'channelExternalTxBytes'.

I've added the OS definition and icon.

In future you should to submit things like that in patch format from "svn diff".

adding those channels would probably involve adding a new entity type, which is pretty complex and involved.

os.inc.php code to ID a PL running v13.1 firmware – may work with later versions, but I can only test on v13.1 (removed: see 1st diff file)

Happy to do all the scripting needed in Python to get the data out of the PL – however I'm way too newbie on the Observium internals ...
