    Description

      Dear Support!

The Observium system is amazing. We really like it.

This ticket may be a request for help, or it may be an improvement suggestion.

Back in 2018, as a PHP developer, I had to make some quick modifications to the code because our company needed a large number of graphs that my colleagues and I could not create through the web interface.

There are OIDs that contain interface indices and a counter that changes at a given interval.

For example, at Huawei, this is the traffic in each QOS (1-8) class per interface. There are 8 classes, but it's not certain that all of them are used.

There is an OID that measures IPv4 and IPv6 traffic separately.

Therefore, I went into the Custom OID section, in such a way that some parts of the OID can be replaced:
      For example: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.32.4.1.4.3.3.1.5.ifIndex.0.1-8

Discovery tries all variations instead of ifIndex. Same with the counter.
I had to rewrite the poller as well, as well as the graph display part.

My question is: I don't know all the features of the system. Can this be solved without our development, so that these graphs are automatically generated by the system when we add a new device?

If not, can we request that our development be included in the system? Of course, we will provide the modified source code.

      Thank you,
      Peter
