Observium Thresholds values for FAN

Hello all,

We would like to know how observium calculates the Thresholds values of FANs.

For example, on a switch model Extreme 4220 (v32.7), for the same MIB object, we can see two different sets of Thresholds:

Then, on the Alert logs we can see many messages like this:

We know we can manually change the values on Sensor Properties, min, max, alert etc...

But, for many equipments this is not the right approach. We are contacting the vendor to understand the manufacture limits to set it correctly.

• What is the logic of observium to set the Thresholds values ?
• Are there any observium commands that can set many devices of same type to a specific range of Thresholds ?
