    Description

Attached are Observium screenshots of two different HP Plotters.

      • The first is a T930, which shows a second column of data (Processors, Memory, Storage, Supplies, Indicators and Counters).
      • The second is a XL3600, which isn't showing any information in the second column.

A snmpwalk of the second device will be uploaded shortly.  Is this a limitation of the MIB, or a missing definition in Observium?

[OBS-4302] HP XL3600 Plotter Incomplete Data

I'm not arguing with you.  It's just strange that their tool wouldn't connect and read the data until I re-enabled "public" SNMP access.

I'll keep poking and prodding to see if I can get the correct MIB files from them.

HP uses own protocols for display this in WUI.
It's not related with SNMP data.

Nope, this device complete unsupport this MIB (although the vendor writes about it).

Or need an firmware update for correct support.
Currently in both plotters snmp dumps (which you send), snmp data complete not translated by this MIB (and any other HP mibs which we have).

The information is available if I install the "HP DesignJet Utility" software (attached screencap). I assume they're gathering it through SNMP, because I couldn't add the plotter to the utility until I re-enabled "public" SNMP read-only access, which is disabled by default in our environment.

I doubt this will help, because I'd be surprised if it's not already included in the existing solution, but our vendor says their HP contact told him HP is driving all development into the "FutureSmart", rather than device-specific, MIBs.

            They provided the attached MIB.

            FutureSmart_v1_4.mib

Sorry.  It has been so long that I forgot about the previous ticket.  I'll check again with my vendor to see if they can pull some strings to get a better MIB.

This is complete same trouble as in previous issue.

Yah, this is exactly limitation of device snmp data.

            • It's report incomplete toner informations by Printer-MIB,
            • complete not exist any memory/processor counters,
            • and unusable data by HP enterprise tree (this is common trouble for all latest HP printers).

If you have HP support subscription, try ask HP for valid MIB/oids for this device(s).
