Problem with Date/Time handling for some graphs

    Description

We updated to the latest version last week. After that, I noticed that some graphs say 1970-01-01 by default on the manual input of the date. In the past, the period that was currently displayed in the graph was always entered here. So it was easy to modify this a little bit.

After updating to the latest version today, this only seems to be the case for a few graphs. Maybe something has been changed in the meantime?
Currently, the problem still exists for a few graphs. For example, I still notice it with the Peering & Transit graphs, which I reach by clicking on the corresponding graph on the start page. The URL is then, for example, as follows: http://x.x.x.x/graphs/type=global_bits/port_type=peering/separate=yes/draw_all=yes/legend=no/class=image-refresh/

[OBS-3784] Problem with Date/Time handling for some graphs

Mike is looking at zoomable graphs, we previously wanted to avoid the javascript requirements for that, but it's probably OK these days.

It'll probably break the date handling again when implemented though

Improved date bar handling and stripping of superfluous fields in r11400.

            Hi Adam,

thanks for the quick reply. I suspected something like that. I wouldn't be so dependent on it if the feature requested in e.g. OBS-1238 was implemented. Unfortunately, I don't have the necessary skillset to do that. But in my opinion, this is one of the most urgently needed features to further improve the handling of Observium.

This is because of a change to how we handle time on this page, the time period images now use a "period" field, so the graph is rolling instead of fixed, but it means there are no dates for the time boxes to use.

I'll look at making it generate placeholder from the period.
