    Description

When being monitored by observium, our juniper router's rpd process grows in size to the point were it gets to big and has to reboot itself.

I couldn't figure out what was causing it until support said it was happening from the snmp process. They tried to add an oid to ignore, but it continues happening.

Unfortunately it's causing a lot of issues so I can no longer monitor juniper devices with observium any longer.

That is not what Jira is for. This was discussed on the mailing list a while ago, IIRC.

I am totally with you man. I have been wanting to dump these for a while now. This was more of a must warn others type of bug.

Apparently this is the latest for SRX. Haha.

IIRC the bug is triggered by JUNIPER-MAC-MIB, so you can just disable the mac-accounting module, and it should go away.

Still, it's Juniper's problem, not ours. You might want to buy networking kit from someone who doesn't still have memory leaks in 10 year old code.

          This is not our bug.

This is a Juniper bug which has been fixed. Upgrade your JunOS.
