Brocade NOS (snIfOpticalLaneMonitoringTable)

Details

    Description

      There is an issue within handling the output of snIfOpticalLaneMonitoringTable. The values are correctly handled with their unit etc pp for each sensor but the state which follows within the string on 2nd position is not beeing used to adjust the sensor event to "alert" and/or "warning" state.

      Debugs are attached.

          you mean this values?

          snIfOpticalLaneMonitoringTxBiasCurrent.201629696.1 = "77.094 mAmps High Warning"

          There is no way for set states.. I have no idea how..

          I could not find any other OIDs which can give us an state about the sensor....

          These vendors are so monumentally stupid. Is there not another OID containing this state data separate to the value?

          So finally if that can be adjusted there is no need to create dynamic sensor limits based on the value for the sensor.
