    Description

      Hello,

I have added a Rittal LCU device to our Observium instance.

Observium successfully reads several values via SNMP, including temperature sensors and other environmental metrics, which indicates that the relevant MIBs are being parsed correctly.

However, the device is not being recognized as a Rittal device. Instead, it is displayed as "Hardware: Generic". Additionally, Observium is discovering and displaying a number of irrelevant entities, such as storage-related information, which do not appear to be applicable to this device.

Could you please review whether support for this specific Rittal LCU model can be improved or whether additional device definitions are required for proper identification and sensor mapping?

For your convenience, I have attached:

      • SNMP walk output
      • Vendor MIB files
      • Rittal logo/icon that could be used for device identification within Observium

      Thank you for your assistance.
