dmi script creates duplicate entries

On some hosts the dmi script creates duplicate entries.
I've run dmidecode directly from the command line and received the following:

root@host:/usr/lib/observium_agent/local# dmidecode -s bios-vendor
American Megatrends Inc.
American Megatrends Inc.
root@host:/usr/lib/observium_agent/local#

Perhaps you linux gurus can only read the first line of output.
