    Description

      Hello.

Unfortunately I have lots of devices without SNMP support to monitor and display them on the map.

There is an option "Skip ICMP echo checks, only SNMP availability."

Is it possible to ad an option like "Skip SNMP, monitor ICMP echo only." ?

Probes don't support map visualization and it's not possible to filter them im Groups.

      Best regards

      Thomas

            Hello Adam.

Ok, thanks. I understand your point.
But zero information is not entirely true. Observium stores ICMP statistics as well.
It would make seperate solutions like Uptime Kuma obsolete.

It's not realistic to have devices which have zero information attached to them. The entire purpose of Observium is to poll SNMP-capable devices, the entire structure of the platform is based around this.

Please make and attach additional information about the device:

            • full snmp dump from device:

              snmpwalk -v2c -c <community> -t 3 -Cc --hexOutputLength=0 -ObentxU <hostname> .1 > myagent.snmpwalk
              snmpwalk -v2c -c <community> -t 3 -Cc --hexOutputLength=0 -ObentxU <hostname> .1.3.6.1.4.1 >> myagent.snmpwalk

If device not support SNMP version 2c, replace -v2c with -v1.

            • If you have problems with discovery or poller processes, please do and attach these debugs:

              ./discovery.php -d -h <device>
              ./poller.php -d -h <device>

            • additionally attach device and/or vendor specific MIB files
