    Description

We have some large servers that are monitored successfully in Observium.

I've added each servers' IPMI device settings within Observium and this works perfectly. Observium is now able to record and monitor additional hardware information about each server like its internal temperature sensors, power supply readings, fans, etc.

I'm running into a challenge, however, to monitor the SAS expansion shelves that are attached to these servers. The SAS expanders have their own dedicated IPMI module which is separate from the server's IPMI.

Is there a simple way to incorporate additional IPMI settings to the Observium device so it can discover and record information about the SAS expanders in addition to the main chassis? I'm basically asking to have the ability to configure multiple IPMI settings for a single server.

If this isn't feasible, can you think of another way I can use Observium to record and monitor hardware information from SAS expander IPMI interface?

      Additional info...

      Server model: Supermicro SSG-6049P-E1CR36L

SAS expander shelf model: Supermicro 847E1C-R1K23JBOD
