    Description

      Hi,

Can you make a comment field when ignoring an alarm?
It helps when multiple people are working in the system and you want to know why an alarm has been acknowledged

      Regards
      Christian

          [OBS-3070] Add comment to alerts

Yeah, what is status this task?

I would be glad if there would be a means to track the confirmation of the trigger being taken to work (ack – add comment or "igrone until will be change by username ), for example, the trigger notifies in telegrams and notifies about being taken to work, it was also notified in telegrams (ack/ignore until ok/add comment(is this possibly) by some username?

          or

add in trigger (alert) info from notes in email/telegram/etc:

          value:

           High CPU on device

          Entity: Routing Engine 0

          Well that's a start.

But id really like a comment feature too.

I could create an alertlog entry when "ignore until ok" is enabled, marking the user that set it?

I'm not sure about comments. We don't have a sensible place to store that at the moment.

exactly, i mean no body is hold accountable if you press ignore until ok.

acknowledge is kind of similar but you get trace of who is working on what and you can for example write like, "hey i am working on this in ticket OBS-3070 /Fredrik" and everyone know whats happening etc

I'm not really sure how this would fit into our UI/alert setup. Do you just mean comments attached to an alert entry?

We don't so much have an 'acknowledge' function, but we do have the 'ignore until ok' field on the alert entry which is probably similar in practice.

Is this something being worked on? or will it ever be? This is one of the features my company is thinking of moving away from Observium to something else.
