    Description

We've figured out that the transceiver modules are not getting polled with Rx/Tx values.
Router is able to send the values over SNMP. Affected MIB is CISCO-ENTITY-MIB and CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB.

What kind of outputs do you need to be able to fix this issue? I've already attached a full snmpwalk for ENTITY-MIB and CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB. If you need more let me know

          [OBS-2655] Transceiver Rx/Tx on Cisco ASR 9001

Issue is caused by faulty coded optical transceiver from our vendor. Took some time to figure it out.

Thanks for your quick reply. We figured out that only onboard SFP+ ports are affected from this bug. Interfaces on a MPA (module line card) are not affected from this issue.

We will report to Cisco TAC.

Yep, this is another IOS XR bug (for new version).
I see you use ios xr firmware 6.1.4.

All this sensors return incorrect data, for example Tx sensors. See entSensorValue and entSensorStatus

Rx and other dom sensors - same.

FYI: The RX/TX and other sensors are working fine with the same IOS-XR version on a Cisco ASR 9904 system.

          Attach debug outout:

          ./discovery.php -d -m os,ports,sensors -h <device>

          Which observium version?
