Description
Some network devices are not able to display a lof of characters in the "show interfaces" output and when using the official descriptions i.e. "Peering", "Transit" it consumes a lot of characters. An good improvement would be using shortnames i.e.
Cust Customer -> "C"
Transit Transit link -> "T"
Peering Peering link -> "P"
Core Infrastructure link (non-customer) -> "I" or "B" (Backbone)
Server Server link (non-customer) -> "S".
This can save a lot of char space and makes the reading of the CLI output much better.
I.e. Brocade only shows 14 characters....
