    Description

Hello, I need to make the backup of the configuration of the devices from observium, one solution is to integrate RANCID or OXIDIZED with observium, I have followed the integration step of RANCID as the Observium documentation says, http://docs.observium.Org/rancid/

But I can not see the configuration tab in the devices on the web page.

          [OBS-2386] RANCID settings.

RANCID should still work fine. RANCID support relies upon the correct configuration parameters being set, and the RANCID config files being correctly named.

JIRA is not an appropriate place to ask for configuration help, though. This belongs on the mailing list.

I think that Rancid is not supported anymore since some version.
Native support of Oxidized, which is much much better than Rancid, would be very nice.

You can write an script which extracts hostinformation from the MySQL Database from Observium to automate creation of the config file for oxidized to backup your hosts.
It's not complicated, but of course you won't see it Observium. You still must visit the oxidized webserver to view your backuped config files.
