Minor Description
After upgrading to latest Professional Subscription SVN Revision 17.7.8697. All of our Extreme devices (see enviroment list) are getting discovered as "generic" devices and Observium is deleting all specific sensors for this device. Before upgrading to latest version, it worked very well without any issues.

Hrm, I was tested detect os with your data, they correctly detected as xos.
Issue still actual (on latest build)?
I noticed that after the upgrade, the os type has changed from "xos" to "generic". After executing the discovery by cli and/or discovery trough cronjob, the os type changed then to "extremeware". Also checked the value in sql devices.os which says now "extremeware" for the affected devices. This faulty behaviour happened to following Extreme devices:

os type should be xos. Extremeware is an old software of Extreme Networks. Xos is based on Extremeware, but it's a different operationg system and should be named back to "xos" in Observium.
OS detection for these two devices should still work fine. I can't reproduce this issue with other XOS devices.
Try :
