Operating system: VMware ESXi 5.5.0 U1 (build-1623387)
Description
I recently noticed that the number of VMs in Observium was increasing. When I pulled up the VMware host's device page, I saw that the same VM is being detected as a new VM every few hours. I'm guessing its doing this at every discovery run every 6 hrs? Is it because Observium tracks VM using some unique ID returned by VMware and VMware sends a new ID each time? Even then, the old instance of the VM should be deleted, right?

UPDATE: Observium still adding duplicate VMs.
Quote from my previous reply to OBSERVIUM-2057: I suspect VMware giving faulty data/unique ID for each VM every time Observium polls for changes. I suspect Observium deleted all duplicates one day as it did not see those IDs for a few days. I could be wrong. If anyone familiar with Observium's workings could shed some light on this, then it would be great!
