    Description

      It would be very useful to be able to test a new contact endpoint after creating one with a simple button in the web GUI that sends a test-alert to the endpoint.

          test_alert.php does this, since it's difficult to rely on a "test" which doesn't use the notification code path, and attempts to send from the apache user via the web interface.
