    Description

      I have the following port utilization alert setup for some new Brocade MLX8e (see attached screenshot). However the alerts that I receive make it hard to determine if the speeds are calculated correctly.

      For example my r2-sv2 host sends me an alert with the following info:

      Alert Please check the bandwidth on the following port.
      Entity GigabitEthernet3/20
      Conditions ifOutOctets_perc greater 75 (25228082818)
      Metrics ifInOctets_perc = 0
      ifOutOctets_perc = 25228082818

      SNMP Data
      IF-MIB::ifDescr.148 = STRING: GigabitEthernet3/20
      IF-MIB::ifSpeed.148 = Gauge32: 1000000000
      IF-MIB::ifInOctets.148 = Counter32: 54077801
      IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.148 = Counter32: 72166831

      More SNMP data 5mins later
      IF-MIB::ifInOctets.148 = Counter32: 54087717
      IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.148 = Counter32: 72186651

      I don't know if this is the expected behavior or if I missing something as I am basing my alert off a percentage.
