Wrong IPv4 address discovered on Bintec/Funkwerk devices

Details

    • Vendor Bug
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Minor
    • None
    • Professional Edition
    • Discovery
    • Observium: 0.16.7.8003 (22nd July 2016)
      Host-OS: Linux 3.13.0-91-generic [amd64] (Ubuntu 14.04)

    Description

Observium shows a wrong IP address for the ethernet ports on our Bintec routers.
The first block of the IP address is cut off. All our Bintec-devices are affected.

      Correct IP: 192.168.0.84
      IP shown in observium-gui: 168.0.84.0

      snmpget result = iso.3.6.1.2.1.4.20.1.1.192.168.0.84.0 = IpAddress: 192.168.0.84

It seems that the IP is extracted from the last 4 blocks of the OID instead of taking the actual value.

      Device-OS: BinTec OS 10.1 Rev. 4 (Patch 3) (R3002)
